CANLUBANG - Laguna Governor Teresita S. Lazaro’s Golf Showdown opens today, March 26 at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club. The tee-off ceremony was led by presidential son Congressman Mikey Arroyo and Gov. Lazaro.
A hundred and eightyfive amateur Golfer’s of Laguna, nearby Provinces, known golf enthusiast in business and government participated in the said competition. Handsome trophies, special rewards and raffles prizes awaits for the champion player and lucky participants. The governor’s first golf showdown was sponsored by 35 establishment and institution. This tournament aims to raise funds for the special projects of the Lady Governor including the renovation of the St. Agustine and St. Raphael Parish churches located at Brgy. Parian, Calamba City and Brgy. Gulod, Cabuyao, Laguna.
Mr. Coy Qiuroz of Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club welcomes the participants while the closing ceremony was hosted by former Provincial Board Member Gil Miranda Governor Lazaro deliver’s her inspirational message to the guests and participant during the program proper. Businessman Tom Trinidad and Randy Estepa, manager of the Old Canlubang Golf Course, which forseveral decades introduced golf to Laguna enthusiast presents the awards to the best players.
